ACT in the workplace
Your employees are under pressure. Most will never ask for help.
These workshops give them practical tools to manage before it becomes a bigger problem.
Evidence-based wellbeing workshops for organisations, delivered by a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist.
When good people struggle at work, the impact is felt everywhere.
Stress, burnout, and psychological overload cost UK employers billions every year in lost productivity, absenteeism, and staff turnover. Research consistently shows that many employees experiencing significant distress will never access formal support but they are still present, still affected, and still costing your organisation.
These workshops offer something different. Grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), one of the most rigorously evidenced psychological approaches available, they give your people the practical skills to manage difficult thoughts, emotions and pressure at work. Participants leave with tools they can use immediately. Organisations see measurably better outcomes.
WHAT IS ACT?
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) is a behavioural science approach backed by hundreds of randomised controlled trials. It moves people away from getting caught in unhelpful thought patterns and towards the values and behaviours that genuinely improve performance and wellbeing. Unlike generic stress awareness sessions, ACT-based interventions have demonstrated clinically significant improvements even in employees who would otherwise never seek support.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
These workshops are designed for HR teams, People leads, and SME business owners who want more than a tick-box wellbeing solution for their staff. If you are responsible for the mental health and performance of a workforce and you want something that actually works then this is for you.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Workshops are delivered online and tailored to your organisation's needs. Current formats include:
Half-day workshop — A focused, practical introduction to ACT skills for teams. Ideal for away days, training days, or team wellbeing programmes.
Full-day workshop — A deeper dive covering the full ACT framework with more time for practice, reflection and group work.
Multi-session programme — A structured series of sessions delivered over several weeks, allowing skills to be practised and embedded between sessions. This format is associated with the strongest outcomes in the research literature.
All sessions are facilitated directly by Dr Brett Hayes, HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist. This is not outsourced content delivered by a trainer, it is clinical expertise, delivered to your team.
